FULL SIZE V8 ( SUPER STOCK )

Any American made full size sedan or station wagon is permitted. No Imperials are permitted.

General Rules

Drivers must be at least 16 years of age. 16 and 17 year old need to have a signed consent waiver by parents or guardian to participate. Drivers must furnish his/her own car. All drivers and pit crew must sign a liability waiver and purchase a pit pass before entering the pit area or track. All drivers must attend the driver’s meeting prior to race time. No drugs or alcohol will be permitted in the pit area. Any person in the pit area suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to compete and will be asked to leave. NO REFUND. Unsportsmanlike conduct from drivers or spectators could result in ban or suspension from event/events.

Drivers must hit a live vehicle every 60 seconds.

Safety:

Drivers are required to wear a DOT approved helmet and safety glasses or goggles. Drivers must wear full length pants. Must wear footwear that completely covers feet. Please also wear gloves for hand protection. Safety is our first priority while on the grounds. There will be zero tolerance of any unsafe acts. Misconduct of a driver or crew member can disqualify the driver and car from the event. All decisions of the judges are final.

Stripping Vehicles:

ALL unnecessary glass, plastic, chrome moldings, carpet, mirrors, emblems, and flammable materials shall be removed. No broken windows in doors. All cars must be clean and free of loose debris in the drivers compartment and the trunk. All airbags MUST be completely removed. Drain all air conditioners. All associated rubber hoses must be cut or removed prior to arrival at the track. All trailer/towing hitches must be removed.

Car appearance:

Each car needs it’s own distinct number where it can easily be read in contrasting colors. Roof sign recommended.

Cages & Driver Protection:

Factory dash maybe removed. You MUST have seat bar from B post to B post as a MINIMUM.

All cage bars must be 5 inches from the floor.
Side bars may not extend past seat bar by 1 foot.
No down bars to floor.
Cages are intended for safety, not to reinforce the car.
Halos will be allowed, given the vertical bars do not extend more than 4 inches past horizontal roof bar.
A center bar is allowed for mounting shifter and switches ect.
No outside door bars.

DRIVERS DOOR PROTECTION:

      • You may reinforce the interior driver’s door with any material you want.

      • May not be attached to a frame or subframe.

      • May be mounted or welded to the floor.

      • Exterior driver’s door may be skinned over. 3 inch over hang of door seam max.

Drivers door hits happen! Protect yourself!!!

Windshield bars:

2 chains/ 9 wire mounted vertically over windshield area for safety only. No not weld.

Fuel cell / Factory Tank:

Must have a fuel cell.

Stock tanks must be removed.

NO FACTORY GAS TANKS.
No Jerry cans, gas cans or plastic tanks as fuel tanks.
No factory tanks inside of car.
Must have a fuel cell.
Must use fuel injection rated hose on fuel injected cars.
Must be mounted in back seat area or to the cage.
No rubber tie downs or zip ties.
No zip screws will be permitted.
Must be bolted or chained in place and must not move.
If mounting to floor, fuel cell cannot be attached to cage.
Fuel lines must be ran in a safe manner and be protected from cutting or crushing.
Maximum capacity of fuel cell permitted is 10 gallons.
Electric fuel pump must have a kill switch that is clearly marked.
Any fuel leaks will disqualify cars from participating. Please use secure leak proof fittings and good hose clamps and make sure they are tight.
As mentioned above, safety is our first priority.

Gas tank protector:

Width of gas tank protector 24” and must stay 2” from packing tray. In wagons length is 32” 

Batteries:

A limit of one battery will be permitted. Batteries may be moved inside to the passenger side
floorboard. Batteries must be in a secure box and be covered (No metal covers). No plastic battery box allowed. We recommend metal battery boxes be bolted to the floor with no smaller then 3/8 inch bolts
and washers.

Brakes & Steering:

A working hydraulic brake system is required. You must exhibit the ability to stop. Anyone losing their brakes during an event will be disqualified.
Steering wheel to steering box/rack maybe modified.
Do not modify the steering rack / steering box. Must be OEM
Tie rods may be welded or reinforced. No aftermarket.

ALL AIR BAGS MUST BE REMOVED.

Tires & Rims:

Drive tires must be air filled only.
No liquid or concrete filled tires.
No studded tires.
Any ply rating allowed.
Doubled tires will be allowed.
All wheel weights must be removed, including on the inside of the wheels.

Rims can have small 8” weld in centers and valve stem protectors. No other modifications.

Body & Frame:

ALL BODY MOUNTS MUST REMAIN IN STOCK LOCATIONS. If OEM body mounts are used, the portion
of the OEM mount between the frame and body cannot be altered including the metal cone inside of rubber
12 mount. If you chose to replace OEM body mounts, the OEM mounts may only be substituted with an actual
rubber hockey puck (no homemade plastic or metal spacers allowed). They must be positioned in the original
location and with the same intent as the factory installs them, but bolts may travel through the top of floor. Body
mount bolts may be replaced with the factory size bolt for that vehicle. A washer, no larger than 4” x 4” x 1/4”,
may be placed on the top (inside car where bolt sticks through floor) and bottom of body mount bolts inside of
frame. No welding washers to car body or frame. Do not add or relocate and body mounts and/or bolts. K member and subframe mounts will be considered body mounts. Maximum size of k-member or subframe bolts permitted is the OEM size for that vehicle. Compact cars with subframes and full size subframe and pinch frame cars may replace OEM mounts with hockey pucks. There must be a 1” space in between the frame and
the body, DO NOT MODIFY THE HOCKEY PUCKS IN ANY WAY.

No frame modifications.
No stuffed frames of any kind.
Front Fame may be shortened to core support and hard nosed with 1- 6”x6”x1/4” plate per side to cap the end of the rail. For bumper mounting purposes only.
If this is done no bumper shock may be used.
Do not weld past 1” on the frame.
Do not “enhance” or crease body lines.
Do not canoe trunk.
Sunroof hole must be covered and secured with the same thickness of metal as the roof.

Rear frame may be dimpled in 2 spots total OR notched in 2 spots total. Not a combination of both.

You may use a single chain max size 1/2″ from rear hump to rear hump. No welding chain must be bolted together.

NO TILTING OR COLD BENDING

Hood:

Hood must have at least an 8″ x 8” hole near the center for fire personnel
access.
Hood may be secured in a total of 6 places of your choice
Chain (3⁄8” max)
#9 wire
Hood must be able to be opened for inspection.
Factory Hood latch must be removed.
Car must have a hood.

Must have factory hood hinge.

Doors/Trunk:

May have a total of 6 places combination of your choice on each panel by chain, 9 wire or 3″x3″1/8″.
# 9 wire (3 strand max)
Chain ⅜ max

3″x3″x1/8″ plates 
Trunk may be tucked but cannot connect to trunk floor in any fashion.  
Do not canoe the trunk.

Bumpers:

Any OEM car bumper permitted.
SMW/DEC/RUTZ bumpers allowed if you have any questions ask.
Bumper corners may be cut and bent to fit the width of the car.
Bumper corners can not stick out past the body of the car.
Seam welding is permitted on bumpers.
Frames may be shortened to mount the bumper but core support and mounts may not be modified.
Bumpers front and rear MUST be chained ¼ inch chain or 9 wire two strands minimum in 2 locations and must be tight.
No dog chain. We do not want bumpers coming off.
No plastic/ fiberglass or tube steel bumpers.
NO sharp edges or corners.

No extra metal maybe added in or to bumper.
Bumpers may be welded directly to the frame or may use up to a 6” x 6” x ¼” plate and must cap the end of the frame.
Mounting plates can not run long ways of frame or be used with a bumper shock.

Bumper Shocks:

The OEM Stock shock may be used in the stock manor.
Shocks may be compressed and welded.
No weld past 1” on the frame.

Must have 1” gap from bumper / frame.

Bumper shock must be bolted to frame. No welded bumper shock bracket to frame.

Engines, Transmissions:

Motor swaps allowed – weld factory mounts in and that is it.
No aftermarket mounts stock oem mounts only.
One chain per motor mount. Must be bolted to a factory frame hole. Max of 18” long.
Shifting method may be altered.
Any OEM
transmission mount and cross member maybe used and must be bolted in only.
Electronics may be relocated.
Stacks will be permitted.
Exhaust underneath the car will be permitted. Must extend past the driver’s seat.
Water only in the cooling system. Please drain antifreeze prior to arrival at the track.
Electric fans only. Fans may not be mounted on the hood.
No engine mounted fans permitted. All engine cooling fans must be under the hood.
Trans lines may be looped.
Some type of air cleaner must be used.

A Lower engine cradle and front plate only no distributer protector, don’t go crazy welding lower cradle in or
you will cut. Only weld what is necessary.
Transmission cannot have steel bell or shaft.
OEM crossmembers only.
Slider drive shaft allowed.
Any OEM rear, must be 5 lug only NO BRACING, pinion brake permitted. no axel savers,
1998 and newer must run factory watts link no exceptions.
Motor swaps and aftermarket bolt ins such as shifters and pedals allowed.

2003 newer Vic’s must run either factory aluminum components (OR) BOLTED in Smiths Metal work cradle
or equivalent. 

Suspension, differentials:

Must remain STOCK.
No modifications of any sort.
Any 5 lug rear
.
Differentials may be welded.

Trailing arms must remain stock.

Any drive shaft maybe used.

Fix it plates:

6”x6”x ¼” thick.

2 per frame rail.
4 total per car.
If you trim to fit you lose the excess material! You cannot weld the remaining material anywhere
else.
May be used on pre-ran cars or fresh cars.
No plates may overlap.
Must be painted white.
No additional plates may be used, No Exceptions.

Patching and rust repair to body and/or frame will be allowed only if cleared in advance. You may be required to show before and after photos of any repairs. Please contact Ryan Fisher 570-764-5440  with any questions on this topic.

Any frame/unibody/rocker panel/body panel/ bumper/etc. may be drilled to scope inside if deemed necessary for inspection.
